Terms and conditions
These conditions govern the use of this website and set out the general framework of the relationship with Excolbi S.A.S. The specific conditions of each operation are agreed in writing in the accepted quotation.
In force since 26 August 2026
Who we are
This website belongs to Excolbi S.A.S. (Exportadora Colombiana de Bienes), a company incorporated under Colombian law and domiciled in Medellín, Antioquia.
Official contact channel: info@excolbi.com.
Purpose of the site
This site is informational and serves as a commercial contact point. It describes Excolbi services and allows you to request a quote or advice.
The information published does not constitute a binding contractual offer. No operation is contracted merely by submitting a form: the relationship begins when a quotation issued by Excolbi is accepted by the client.
Quotations
- Every quotation is issued in writing and states its scope, the items included and its validity period.
- Costs that depend on third parties — freight, customs duties, destination charges — may vary if rates or regulations change between issue and execution.
- A quotation is subject to confirmation of the actual characteristics of the goods. If weight, volume, nature or tariff classification differ from what was declared, the cost is recalculated.
Client obligations
An inaccurate declaration may lead to the goods being held, to penalties, or to seizure by the customs authority. The consequences of an inaccurate declaration rest with whoever makes it.
For the operation to be carried out, the client undertakes to:
- Declare truthfully and completely the nature, contents, weight and value of the goods.
- Provide the documentation the operation requires, on time.
- Not include in shipments any goods whose circulation is prohibited or restricted at origin, in transit or at destination.
- Be responsible for the accuracy of the recipient details.
Restricted goods
Restrictions on what may be transported are not set by Excolbi: they are set by the airline, the carrier and the authorities at origin, in transit and at destination, and they vary by country and product category.
Before dispatching, check with an adviser whether your goods can travel on the intended corridor. It is information worth having before you pack.
Liability
Excolbi is liable for the correct performance of the services it provides directly and for the documentary handling it assumes in each operation.
It is not liable for matters beyond its control: decisions of the customs authorities, delays attributable to third-party carriers, unforeseeable circumstances or force majeure, or consequences arising from inaccurate information supplied by the client.
Cargo insurance cover, where contracted, is governed by the conditions of the relevant policy and is expressly agreed in the quotation.
Intellectual property
The contents of this site — text, brand, photographs, design and code — are protected by intellectual property law. Reproduction or use without prior written authorisation is not permitted.
The Excolbi brand and its distinctive signs are the property of Excolbi S.A.S.
Third-party links
This site may link to third-party services such as WhatsApp. Excolbi does not control those services and is not responsible for their contents or their privacy policies.
Consumer protection
Where the client qualifies as a consumer, the rights granted by Colombian Law 1480 of 2011 (Consumer Statute) apply, and these conditions neither limit nor exclude them.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by Colombian law. The courts of the Republic of Colombia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from their interpretation or application.
Amendments
Excolbi may update these conditions. The version applicable to an operation is the one in force when the corresponding quotation is accepted.
