Excolbi S.A.S. — Exportadora Colombiana de Bienes — has been operating out of Medellín since 2013. We are an international trading company and a freight operator at the same time: we can be the exporting entity for your operation and, on top of that, move it.

What we actually do
Most companies in this sector do one thing: they are either a freight agent or a trading company. Excolbi does both. That matters when the client is outside Colombia and has no company here that can sign an export.
In that case we are the exporter of record: the operation leaves under our name, we answer for the legal and documentary side before the customs authority, and the buyer simply receives the goods. When the client does have their own structure, we act as freight operator and nothing more.
How we got here
The company was founded in 2013 in Belén Rosales, Medellín, and grew by referral. A good share of the clients who export with us today arrived because another client sent them. That shapes how we work: in a business where the client lives in another country and entrusts their goods to someone they have never met, reputation is the asset.
Today the team is around fifteen people, with commercial advisers assigned per account. The operation is mainly air freight and leaves from Medellín.

What we charge for advice
Nothing. Before a quote even exists, we review your case and tell you which documents the operation requires, how it is best structured and which unnecessary costs you can avoid at destination. This is deliberate: most of the trouble on a first shipment comes from decisions taken before anyone was hired.
